Propylene glycol is mainly used as a solvent for various flavors, colors, preservatives, vanilla beans, roasted coffee grains, and natural flavorings. Moisturizers and softeners such as candy, bread, packaged meat, and cheese. Can also be used as noodles, filling core anti-mould additives. Adding 0.006% to soymilk can make the flavor unchanged when heated, making it a white and glossy packaged tofu, and the volume expands when it is fried.
 

Can be used as raw material of unsaturated polyester resin.

Can be used as wetting agent in cosmetics,toothpaste and soap together with glycerol or sorbitol.

In hair dyes, it is used as moisture regulating and hair leveling agent,antifreeze,cellophane and plasticizer
