Fused quartz is vitreous mature quartz. It is a block made of refined quartz sand after high-temperature electric melting, cooling, crushing and grading, and can be processed into various specifications according to the particle size required by customers. The products are mainly used in precision casting, glass ceramics, refractories, electronics and electrical appliances. Purity of fused quartz: the content of silica shall not be less than 99.99% at grade I, 99.97% at grade I, 99.80% at grade II, 99.7% at grade III and 99.6% at grade IV.
Quartz sand a unique physical and chemical properties, make its in aviation, aerospace, electrical machinery and the rapid development of today's foot or position in the IT industry, especially its internal molecular chain structure, crystal shape alloy change rule, has the high temperature resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient, high insulation, corrosion resistance, piezoelectric effect and resonance effect and its unique optical properties, is playing a more and more important role in many high-tech products.
Silica, or more correctly silicon dioxide SiO2, is one of the most abundant compounds on the surface of the Earth, being most obvious as quartz and common sand. Silica has a multitude of uses depending on the degree of purity. Grades up to 99.5% SiO2 are used in the manufacture of glass, optical fibres and ceramics.
