Description:
Salicylic acid is a fat-soluble organic acid. It is a is white crystal or crystalline powder. It has no odor and
is slightly sweet and then hot. It has no change in the air. It can be sublimated at atmospheric pressure above
76 °C.
It is easily decarboxylated by atmospheric pressure to form phenol and carbon dioxide. The aqueous solution is
acidic and reacts with FeCl3 in purple. This product is slightly soluble in water, soluble in boiling water, soluble in
ethanol or ether, slightly soluble in chloroform.
Application:
1.Salicylic acid is a natural anti-inflammatory drugs.
2.Salicylic acid can help curing chronic skin diseases such as acne and hemorrhoids.
3.Salicylic acid can be usd as pharmaceutical raw materials. For the preparation of aspirin, sodium salicylate,
salicylamide, analgesic, phenyl salicylate and other drugs.
4.Cosmetics preservatives.Salicylic acid mainly used for toilet water, prickly heat water, quinine water etc
5.Salicy acid is widely used in,food, fragrances, agrochemicals and dyestuffs.
